In September 2014 I worked with Arvon to create a unique donation box which could be used by the company at fundraising events.
Arvon produce and run public residential weeks which give unpublished writers the opportunity to develop their skills in an environment of peers. Three historic houses provide the venues for their current programme. The houses, named Totleigh Barton, Lumb Bank and The Hurst, are all idyllic period properties located within rural landscapes. I was asked by the company to create a donation box which reflected these unique historic buildings.
I was inspired by the houses, as well as the landscapes they are situated in, to create three dimensional scenes which emerge from the donation box. My intention is that the houses appear to the viewer as settings for potential narratives and stories.
